Uniform

Daily Attire

Our School Uniform is a visible expression of belonging to the family of Dean Gibson. We want to encourage unity and respect amongst our pupils, while keeping them comfortable and our uniform is just one way we do that.

All individual items of uniform and PE kit must be clearly labelled with your child’s full name.

We ask that boys wear:

  • Burgundy v-neck school jumper or cardigan

  • Grey trousers/shorts

  • White shirt

  • Plain grey socks

  • Tie must be worn

  • Black school shoes (no trainers please)

We ask that girls wear:

  • Burgundy v-neck school jumper or cardigan

  • Grey trousers, shorts, pleated skirt or pinafore

  • White shirt

  • Tie must be worn

  • Plain grey socks or tights

  • Black school shoes (no trainers please)

  • Red checked summer dresses and plain white socks can be worn after the Easter holidays

P.E. and Swimming Kits

We like to carry our uniformity into P.E lessons. Therefore we ask children to wear black shorts, a plain white t-shirt, and trainers or plimsolls. Outdoor PE kit is plain black tracksuit bottoms and zipped hooded top/sweatshirt - these can be purchased from local supermarkets. No football kits or other coloured items are to be worn.

For swimming, pupils may wear swimsuits of any colour (no bikinis). Swimming caps can be worn. Should a child have a verruca on their foot, we ask them to wear a verruca guard sock during swimming lessons. We do not supply these.

Restrictions

For safety reasons children are discouraged from wearing jewellery at school. Though, if they do, we ask that all pupils remove jewellery before P.E. or Games lessons. Watches can be given to the teacher who is in charge of safekeeping. The staff will not be held responsible for any items lost.

Purchasing of School Uniform

Our school uniform can be purchased through our online shop. Book bags and PE bags (optional) are available from the school office.

Generic school uniform ie skirts/trousers/white PE t-shirts/black shorts etc can be widely purchased from most local supermarkets. School also runs a lost property/pre loved school uniform sale for a small donation, please contact the office for further information (subject to availability of stock).

We recommend that you allow 4 weeks for child’s uniform to be delivered as all garments are processed specifically for each order. Once your order is available, it will be individually bagged and labelled with your child’s name. Delivery is free and you’ll be able to collect your uniform from our school.
