Welcome to Dean Gibson Catholic Primary School

What's New?

Piano Lessons

There are 3 piano lesson spaces available, if your child is interested in playing the piano, please let the school office know.

Welcome to our great school! And a great school it is, not only because of the recognition it receives but because the children at the school achieve great things.

I am privileged to be the Headteacher of a school which has an extraordinary staff team who work seamlessly with massively committed parents. The very high standards we achieve in all areas emerge very naturally from this effective partnership.

At Dean Gibson, we celebrate the uniqueness of each child in our care. As a staff we know your children have the right to have aspirations and to know that they are precious in the eyes of God. In partnership with you we model the Gospel values of care, compassion and diligence on which our enterprise is based. In short, we encourage our children to have what Basil Hume called "a zest for living life to the full".

On Wednesday afternoon our Year 5 and 6 girls' football team (sponsored by Stephen Baines groundwork and plant hire) made the short trip to Ghyllside School for a KCP girls' football festival. Our team which consisted of Ava, Emilie, Anna, Leah, Willow, Amelie, Madison, Jasmine B, Katherine and Anna-May drew three games 0-0 against Heron Hill, St Mark's and Vicarage Park but narrowly lost 1-0 against Stramongate in the last kick of the game. Well done to all the girls who were a credit to Dean Gibson.

Our customers say...

  • I like it in Year 6 because we get to pick what we are doing in art. I also enjoy the golden time and am looking forward to our pebble party which are our rewards for being good. I also went to a cross country tournament on Tuesday, the best bit was the hot chocolate and flap jack.
