School Meals
We believe that a healthy body and mind is the first step to a better education. All our school meals are cooked fresh in our kitchen by Caterlink and provide a balanced, and nutritional diet. Our lunch menus change each term and aim to encourage pupils to try new foods.
Free meals are provided to children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 as part of the Universal Infant Free School Meals programme. For those in KS2, Years 3 to 6, meals are £2.70 per day and can be booked online through the School Gateway app.

Lunchboxes & Snacks
Should you wish to pack a lunch box for your child, we encourage a healthy and balanced meal that avoids particularly sugary items like sweets.
For safety reasons, we ask that you do not pack glass bottles or canned drinks for your child.
During the mid-morning break, children are allowed to consume a HEALTHY snack.
DietAry requirements
We want Dean Gibson to be a safe place for every child to learn. That’s why we take time to understand every child’s dietary habits, needs, and allergies. For vegetarians, we offer a meat-free lunch option upon request.
If your child has any food allergies, we ask that you please complete the above form and alert a member of staff when signing up for school meals. For any severe allergies that can be triggered by touch or smell, like nut or shellfish allergies, please alert staff before your child joins our school, so that we may ensure their safety in all areas.
