We used pieces of material to add colour to our flowers One of our beautiful creations Getting creative...

In Year 3 we got very creative yesterday with Ann-Marie Quinn from Lakeland Arts as we took part in a practical workshop.
The 'In the Moment' group have set themselves a challenge to fill the Space2Create Centre with flowers made from recycled plastics and textiles to create a beautiful flower filled garden, this is part of the 'Blooming in Dementia' project to raise awareness for dementia and promote pleasure and enjoyment of creative activities.

We made beautiful flowers from old recycling and felt and we are going to take our flowers next Friday to meet some of the people in the 'In the Moment' group and talk to people who have dementia. We each took home a sponsor form and so far we have raise £70 for the group - we are very proud of ourselves.

We had a great time and can't wait to take our flowers next week.
