What a lovely morning we spent in Year 1 last week when we had visitors in from Lakeland Arts helping us make sheep. These were special sheep as they are part of a project to raise awareness of creative experiences of those living with dementia. We made 25 sheep which will go to helping them reach their target of 1000 sheep!

On Monday, Year 1 and 2 went on their trip to Brockhole in Windermere. The weather was kind to us and we had an amazing time! Activities included bird watching, bug hunting, playing on the adventure playground and other Forest school activities.

Year 1 have been lucky enough to enjoy dance sessions with Rachel Towe, a dance specialist. Rachel has planned our dance lessons with our science topic of plants and growth. This week we made ourselves into a flower, remembering to add in the roots, stem and flower. We can't wait to see what we will be doing next week!

To begin our new topic of plants and growing we went on a walk in our beautiful outside area to see what plants we could see. We saw lots from trees to chives and daffodils!
