In our collective worship this week we remembered a special saint called Thérèse of Lisieux. Thérèse was born in France almost 150 years ago and she was a member of the charity Mission Together. In her life, Thérèse came up with a great idea. She would show God’s love to others through small acts of kindness. She called this her ‘Little Way’. Thérèse decided that everything she did each day she would do with great kindness and love. With this theme, the children thought about small acts of kindness they could do.

Here at Dean Gibson we use the White Rose Maths materials for the planning and delivery of Maths. They have released a series of videos to support anyone who may be undertaking home learning due to the current situation. These videos are also quite useful if your child is worried they don't understand something or you would like to look at how we explain maths in school.
Follow the the link : www.whiterosemaths.com/homelearning
You may have to look through several weeks to find the correct topic as they release the videos quicker than we deliver them.

A group of twenty-one children from years 3 to 6 competed in the Elleray Cross Country Competition on Wednesday afternoon. On a wet and muddy course, the children performed admirably. The stand-out performances on the day, included Alfie Tipping's eighth place finish in the Under 11 boys' race. In addition, Isla Ritchie came home in ninth position in the Under 11 girls' race, while Freddie Byrne also finished ninth in the under 10 boys' event. Well done to all the children who competed on a very challenging course. A huge "Thank you" also to the parents and grandparents who supported on the day.
